Volunteer with the Collective Success Network

Non-profit & professional development organizations grow and thrive when a committed community comes together behind a mission and vision. The Learning & Development Professionals of Greater Philadelphia developed because of that precise commitment from many wonderful members of the local L&D community. During the course of our work we identified another great organization where L&D professionals can contribute their time and energy and make an immediate, positive impact on the lives of others and their local communities!

L&D Philly partners with the Collective Success Network (CSN), a local non-profit on a mission to support fist-generation/low-income (FGIL) students as they navigate college and look to begin their professional careers. Through CSN students receive mentoring, career & personal development training, non-academic support through networking, counseling, and events, as well as tapping into the wider community of business professionals in the greater Philadelphia area as they explore career options and learn about the breadth of opportunities available to them.

Would you like to support and possibly mentor/teach future professionals through their college and early professional careers?

Of course you would! We're Learning & Development professionals after all! This is what we do! Each and every day of our careers! You can help a cadre of smart, outgoing, and curious students with the life skills, career skills, and resilience they need to become successful and pursue their aspirations and goals.

Opportunities include leading a presentation or webinar on topics such as networking, resume writing, brand building, interviewing, etc., meeting with students interested in a particular industry or career, designing some self-guide resources such as handouts, videos, or learning modules to help build CSN's library of on-demand learning, help with administrative, fundraising, and other similar tasks, and most importantly - you can mentor young professionals in small groups, one-on-one, or through other avenues.

If this sounds like the opportunity to give back you've been looking for please contact L&D Philly's CSN Outreach coordinator Liz Nover at with questions, ideas, or to learn more!
