    This is a remote, work from home position within the US

    Science 37 is accelerating the research and development of breakthrough biomedical treatments by bringing clinical trials to patients' homes. Backed by venture investors such as Glynn Capital, Google Ventures, Redmile Group, dRx Capital and Lux Capital, we are revolutionizing the clinical trial industry, one patient, at a time. To help us achieve our goal, we are seeking a razor-sharp Manager of Training and Educationeager to make an impact within a mission-driven organization.

    The Manager of Training and Education is responsible for overseeing the external training needs of Science 37. Specifically, the Manager of Training and Education will identify and address the training needs for external customers such as sponsors, providers, participants, partners and potential clients. The Manager of Training and Education will be responsible for assessing training needs, ensuring instructional design best practices, curricula development and training delivery structure. Curricula will include topics such as Science 37 overview, OS platform operation, specialized network interaction and product adoption. Each curriculum will be tailored to the roles of the multiple participating groups associated with the Clinical Trial.

    Key oversight and strategic contribution combined with interface to internal and external teams makes this role a critical contributor to the overall success and future growth of Science 37.


    Duties include but are not limited to:

    1. Provide leadership to promote clearly defined vision for learning and education.
    2. Oversee the design and development of high-quality learning experiences.
    3. Document best practices for content delivery and processes.
    4. Oversee development and implementation of the overall training strategy to ensure attainment of goals, inclusive of strategic and tactical initiatives.
    5. Ensure appropriate use of technology integration with teaching/learning process.
    6. Continuous investigation of new and innovative technology. 
    7. Identify and ensure effective professional development for staff reflecting various innovations as well as effective instructional strategies.
    8. Mentor and/or assist in coaching of direct reports.
    9. Conduct performance reviews, calibration sessions, and feedback discussion. 
    10. Perform competency assessments across the team and implement and monitor development plans with direct reports.
    11. Oversight of direct reports including assessing capacity needs and resource allocation.
    12. Oversight of contracted vendors.
    13. Ensure projects are kept in scope of contracted work.
    14. Provide metrics on delivery timelines, learner completion rates, performance, evaluation results.
    15. Collaborate with the teams to create design engaging templates for curricula.
    16. Schedule and supervise delivery and deployment of training curricula.
    17. Work with leadership of appropriate teams on plans for improvement.
    18. Learn and understand the clinical trial process in its relation to the Science 37 model.
    19. Align training curricula to ensure compliance with study protocols, worldwide regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practice, SOPs, quality standards and other requirements.
    20. Building and internal culture of innovative thinking that leads to the development and implementation of the company mission and vision.
    21. Perform other tasks and projects as needed.



    1. Bachelor’s Degree is required; Instructional Design, Education Technology, technology, healthcare or science related field is a bonus.
    2. 3-5+ years of curriculum design and instructional training program implementation experience.
    3. Experience with clinical trials research and technology is a bonus.
    4. 1+ year of experience managing and mentoring teams.
    5. Expertise in instructional design and training implementation.
    6. Expertise with instructional technology platforms/learning management systems (LMS). 
    7. Expertise in adult learning principles.
    8. Strong written & verbal communication skills.

    10. Practices professionalism and integrity in all actions – Demonstrated ability to foster concepts of teamwork, cooperation, self- control, and flexibility to get the work done. 
    11. The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. Able to successfully work in a decentralized team environment. 
    12. Possess strong initiative as well as excellent management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. 
    13. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
    14. Commitment to results and high quality.
    15. Thoroughness and attention to detail.  


    1. Up to 20% travel, as needed, for training, project team meetings, client presentations and other professional meetings/conferences as needed.
    2. Ability to communicate in English (both verbal and written); fluency in other languages is a plus.
    3. May require extended or unusual work hours based on research requirements and business needs. 


    The incumbent works under guidance of the Senior Director Global Enablement/Training and Education.
