Join the team from Jump Start (Your Job Search) for their Spring 2021 Virtual Workshop on Saturday April 24th from 9:00 am to 1:15pm (Eastern).  Jump Start's programs offer an interactive time of information and ideas to provide help and hope in your job transition and career. 

Join them at 8:45 a.m. for networking and the workshop will begin at 9 a.m. A link to the handouts will be provided.

Transferable Skills – Ford R. Myers – Many of us have not yet identified the transferable skills we possess that will aid us in obtaining our next position. By understanding and identifying your transferable (portable) skills, your new career can become a reality! Ford will lead us through identifying our skills, and then how to market ourselves utilizing those skills employers are looking for.

Building Relationships is Key to your Job Search Success – Amy Dinning – One of the most important activities we can participate in while in job transition is building relationships. You are only one person away from your next position, you just have not met that person yet. Amy will guide us through how to successfully build relationships that will aid us in job transition and in life.

Why Can’t I Get the Job? – Alex Freund – How often do you feel that you were a perfect fit for the position but did not get the offer? You may have felt that you provided impressive answers, connected with the interviewer, had the exact experience wanted, met all of the requirements, and even sent timely follow-up notes. If only you could understand why you did not get that job. Attending will enable you to identify potential signals as to what’s really going on. You’ll become empowered to ask questions and act strategically so that you become the candidate who gets the offer.
