    Description:

Has it been awhile since you've sorted through your "learning closet"? Maybe some of your courses aren't as fashionable as they were when you created them. (We're looking at you 4:3 slide ratios.) Do they just need a fresh pressing or is time to get some new items? It may be Summer, but it's never a bad time for some Spring cleaning. Join us for workshop to learn how you clean up an stay organized in the future.

    In this session we'll discuss:

    • What is a review cycle, and why you need to establish one?
    • The different places your content is stored. This is to help you locate your content and document the current state of your learning ecosystem.
    • How to build out a tracker to begin documenting where your content is,
    • How this process will allow you to be proactive rather than reactive, so that your content is always in tip-top shape.

    Event Description

Even though Microsoft PowerPoint is one of the most ubiquitous software packages in the training world, many learning professionals merely scratch the surface of its capabilities. In this fast-paced session, you’ll uncover some of the best features for customizing the look of slides, engaging your audience, and saving you time.

Our facilitator will show us design strategies to move from flying bullet points (which were the height of fashion in 1997!) to instructional animations. In this session, you’ll get into the nuts and bolts of PowerPoint and learn how to make some of those designs come to life. Whether you present in the classroom, convert PowerPoint slides to eLearning, or use PowerPoint for graphics to put in another authoring tool, this session will help you take your designs to the next level. You’ll learn to create graphics, animations, presentations, and courses that people won’t believe you did in PowerPoint. Plus, you’ll learn little-known shortcuts that will save you time in getting these great effects.

In this session, you will learn:

    • How to create custom graphics quickly in PowerPoint
    • How to create engaging instructional animations with PowerPoint
    • Time-saving PowerPoint techniques
    • How to customize the PowerPoint environment to your needs

    Description:

As learning and development practitioners, we know all too well the importance of values in leadership development and talent development. For us to help others lead authentically we need to be clear about what is important, drives passions, and provides meaning to our lives. However, many times values clarification is a one-off activity in a program. How can you create some stickiness around what values mean so people can actually USE what they learn?

The stories we tell about ourselves is a window into our most deeply held values and provides great insight in how we lead and live in alignment with those values. This session will take you through a practical, easy to replicate storyboarding process to identify values and understand how those values impact decision-making processes in day-to-day decisions and interactions.

You will leave with a way anchor your values work in your organization’s learning, leadership, and coaching programs and a framework to help leaders increase their effectiveness.

Leaders either amplify or inhibit the talent around them. What do your leaders do?

Across the globe, organizations are trying to figure out how to minimize attrition, maximize productivity, do more with less, and navigate swiftly in ever-changing conditions. And amidst this dynamic landscape, even the best organizations sometimes leave talent and potential on the table. And that impacts everything!

What if it were possible to achieve the results you want with the people you already have, maximize creative solutioning without spending a dime, and ignite a culture of real engagement and possibility?

There are leaders and companies out there doing just that. Let's learn from them!

Based on the research from his book, Acoustic Leadership, Develop A Leadership Culture That Resonates, and brought to life with a combination of energy, interactivity, and his signature presentation style (and guitar), Rick introduces ideas and actions to develop leaders who tap into that wealth of potential and transform your organization and your people.
